Vigilant Association of Midnight Proper

The city of Midnight has always been a haven for immigrants, refugees, and anyone else seeking freedom from oppression. This became ever more prevalent during the Civil War when flocks of mortals fled to the city hoping to find freedom abroad. This influx of mortals however brought an unwanted spotlight on the city and its kindred population. Determined to avoid undue conflict, several local kindred banded together to form the Vigilant Association of Midnight Proper. They would use their vast resources and network to aid in hiding the oppressed from their captors until they could be ferried away to safety abroad. While the immediate threats diminished over time, the necessity of the Association continued with the immigration boom. With Midnight City becoming a hub for transportation, it was necessary to expand the scope of the Association. Travel in all forms became detrimental to kindred existence, thus the association worked to maintain a firm grasp of it. Over time, the city became revitalized. Instead of overtly worrying about danger and oppression, the Association began focusing on the overall wellness of its territory. These nights, the Association is known as a place of safe refuge for the mind and body.
