=Every piece of history starts with a connection. Family, blood, trade, knowledge, war, political, and sometimes curses. Even the great writer Edgar Allen Poe understood the depths of a curse with the portrayal of his stories. The madness they can incur and the desire to escape or even benefit from such a state of being. For Kindred, even some curses last beyond undeath. There are reasons sires whisper to their children to avoid the moon beasts, do not trifle with fairies, and leave the hedge wizards to their own business and yet some do not heed and thus find themselves cursed into a House of several lineages crossing several blood clans, each afflicted with a curse that carried on down through their blood to their childer. Strange things happen with curses and kindred blood. Strange enough that the founder of the House (Insert pc name here) gathered together others who found themselves likewise cursed as well as their childer. Some seek redemption, others are driven mad falling to dangers untold. Yet a few manage to twist the curse gaining new power outside their blood or crave the perfection only knowledge can grant. What makes a Ravensblood? *A curse that takes the form tied to ancient lore of mortal belief given power to affect the kindred. The belief one must sleep with the soil of their homeland, or perhaps a bane bites far deeper. *The manifestation of blood sorcery, Oblivion, Shapeshifting, and even Alchemy outside the normal capacity for a clan, sometimes several may manifest. *The craving for perfection of knowledge. Immense study devoted to Academics, Occult, Science, and even Medicine may be attributed to the individual. *A sense of community among members of the House. They understand all too well what it means to be the one others give pause with, questions of sanity whispered in corners or behind closed doors. Curses make for strange relations. |
