12th and 13th Centuries: Omen Wars.
1204: End of the Golden Age of Constantinople. Zmeu’s bloodline is distantly descended from The Dracon, and so its sire and grandsire took it to Constantinople to study and undergo accounting for several centuries. They didn’t leave the city until it fell for good, returning to Romania.
14th and 15th Centuries: First Anarch Revolt. Zmeu rebelled against its bloodline. It went on to be a notable Anarch war leader in Eastern Europe and the Levant.
1493: Convention of Thorns & Burning of Silchester. Zmeu did attend the convention of Thorns as a delegate, arguing against the formation of the Camarilla and the Masquerade. Like the rest of the founding Sabbat, she participated in the Burning of Silchester and joined the nascent sect.
1786-1803: First Sabbat Civil War. Zmeu becomes somewhat disillusioned with the pointlessness of the conflict, and starts moving further into the American west in search of isolation, settling in Sonoma County, California.
2008: The Night of Ash and Fire Zmeu leaves the Sabbat and joins the local Camarilla to follow its companions.
Zmeu is an ancient Tzimisce scholar who’s taken it upon itself to be a mentor to the young, human or vampire. It came from very humble beginnings in Transylvania, but has moved across Europe to the Americas and settled into a very comfortable, if somewhat isolated, lifestyle in California. Despite its kindly demeanor, Zmeu is more than a bit arrogant in its old age, and rarely accepts the leadership or guidance of others out of sheer pride.
It was present at the Convention of Thorns, arguing against the Camarilla and the Masquerade, but now finds itself following its erstwhile companions into the Camarilla to mentor them and keep them safe.
